CETAF Annual Report 2025: A year of growth, collaboration and impact

The CETAF Annual Report 2025 is now available for consultation, providing an overview of the consortium’s activities, achievements and developments throughout the year.

The report highlights the progress made in implementing the CETAF Strategy 2025–2030, including strengthened governance, membership growth, enhanced advocacy efforts, and continued collaboration across the European biodiversity research community. It also showcases CETAF’s contributions to major European initiatives supporting biodiversity monitoring, genomic research, data sharing and ethical practices in taxonomy.

As a network of more than 80 natural history museums, botanical gardens and biodiversity research centres across 27 countries, CETAF plays a key role in advancing taxonomy and biodiversity science in Europe. The Annual Report reflects the collective efforts of its members and partners in addressing pressing challenges such as biodiversity loss and climate change while promoting the value of collections-based research.

We invite members, partners, policymakers and all those interested in biodiversity science to explore the report and learn more about CETAF’s achievements and impact during 2025.
