The Multi-Actor Conference “Engaging society for Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI): New options to move forward” will be organised in Brussels on June 19th 2017. The Policy conference is organized by the H2020 funded project PROSO in cooperation with the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and Arts.

The aim of this conference is to jointly discuss and (further) develop innovative ideas, options and initiatives to promote societal engagement for RRI. PROSO will present preliminary project results on challenges as well as policy and practice options concerning the engagement of civil society organizations and other interest groups of citizens as well as (non-organized) citizens in publicly funded research and innovation. These results will be actively considered and critically discussed by a broad range of R&I stakeholders, namely policy makers at European and national level, research management and funding organizations, business and industry representatives, science education and communication actors, researchers, as well as civil society organizations. The outcome of this event will contribute to a Policy & Practice Guide to be handed over to policy-makers, research funding organizations as well as civil society organizations.

The conference is open for around 60 experts. Registration is possible on invitation only. If you would like to be invited to the conference, please contact conference@proso-project.eu.
