The European Journal of Taxonomy (EJT) is looking for its new Editor-in-Chief (EiC)!

The new Editor-in-Chief (EiC) will occupy a key position in deciding and overseeing the journal's editorial policy.

  • He/she will chair the EJT Executive Committee and will work alongside the deputy of his/her choice.
  • He/she will be assisted by 2 Members of the EJT Executive Committee: Isabelle Gerard, the new appointed Publication Manager and Laurence Benichou, the new appointed Liaison officer.
  • He/she will also benefit from the support of the EJT Editorial team, the EJT Consortium and its Steering Committee.

About

The European Journal of Taxonomy (EJT) is a CETAF endorsed journal.

In its 10 years of existence, the EJT Editorial team has brought to life a new journal addressing Taxonomy in a modern and innovative way, integrating the cutting edge of the technology in the field. Playing the cards of Open Access and FAIR data, the Editorial team managed to place EJT in the first place of all taxonomy dedicated journals.

The European Journal of Taxonomy is a visionary project initiated by Koen Martens and Laurence Bénichou. They have, with the support of the EJT Editorial team, made this initiative a real success!

It is a great success for which the EJT Steering Committee and all the CETAF community can only congratulate and thank EJT Editorial team, and especially above all, Koen Martens who decided to leave his position as Editor-in-Chief of the journal and to whom we want to send our warmest thanks.

Koen will be difficult to replace having given so much to EJT. His departure poses a challenge that we must take up, at the same time as we are preparing the work plan for the next 10 years with exciting new objectives and extending further the success of EJT, while still maintaining quality over quantity.
