The DG Environment of the European Commission is organising its first meeting of the ABS Consultation Forum on 21st January 2015.
The main task of the Forum is to provide advice and expertise to the Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) in relation to the implementation of the ABS Regulation (or, Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization), and to facilitate coordination and cooperation with Member States and stakeholders in that regard.
CETAF has been accepted as a member of the Forum and two people from our core Team working on ABS (Legislation & Regulation Working Group) will participate in this event.
