The course is structured in a sequence of five interlinked modules. Each module starts with an introductory lecture of approx. 1-3 hours. Then the remaining part of each module is typically divided between a short demonstration of a topic in order for the students to practise it, while next consecutive part starts with introduction and continues with “hands-on” working and exercises. The modules are the following:

MODULE 2: e-Taxonomy and biodiversity informatics tools
MODULE 3: Digital drawing
MODULE 3.5: Stacking photography
MODULE 4: DELTA (DEscription Language for TAxonomy)
MODULE 5: Scientific writing and communication
