Preparations are underway for the 2nd Directors’ Summit and CETAF58 General Assembly, which will take place in Berlin on 11–12 November 2025 under the theme “Trusted Partners, Critical Times.”
Following the success of CETAF56 in Madrid, this new edition will continue the dialogue on the evolving role of natural history museums and botanical gardens in today’s rapidly changing world. The discussions will centre on two key dimensions: the enduring value of these institutions as custodians of trusted knowledge and the growing engagement of the private sector in biodiversity science and sustainable innovation.
When: 11–12 November 20
Where: Botanic Garden Botanic Museum, Berlin, DE
At a moment when biodiversity and climate research face increasing challenges, CETAF58 will provide a forum for members to reaffirm the relevance and impact of our community. The meeting will explore how CETAF and its institutions can forge new alliances, respond to societal needs, and demonstrate leadership in areas such as the Nature Restoration Regulation and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, where biodiversity expertise is essential.
By uniting scientific, policy, and economic perspectives, CETAF58 aims to strengthen our collective voice and shape the future of biodiversity and geodiversity knowledge across Europe.
