Statement from the Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities (CETAF) on the invasion of Ukraine
We, the Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities (CETAF), express our shock and sadness over the current situation in Ukraine.
We express our deep sympathy for the suffering of the Ukrainian people and deplore the ongoing loss of lives. Our community strongly condemns the invasion of Ukraine, which is having a devastating impact on the people as well as the infrastructure of this country.
We denounce the deliberate destruction of civil society and its institutions, which has irreversible consequences on cultural, historical, scientific and natural heritage.
We offer our support to all our scientific colleagues who have been touched by the conflict as well as to those who stand up for peace.
We appeal for a rapid and peaceful end to the war.
