The Royal Dutch and Belgian Zoological Societies will be hosting jointly the 23th edition of the Zoology Congress on 16 and 17 December 2016 at the University of Antwerp.
At the Zoology Congress, zoologists studying life in all its aspects (from molecules to ecosystems) meet and discuss. Young scientists are particularly invited to participate, but all zoologists, at any stage of their careers, are very welcome to submit.
Reversing the trend of man-made mass extinction will require input from various fields in biology and beyond. In an attempt to stimulate a multidisciplinary approach to conservation biology, Zoology 2016 has invited four keynote speakers who are studying zoological biodiversity issues from different angles. Their theme will be nature conservation in a changing world, while submissions from all fields in animal sciences are more than welcome.
Further details, such as the preliminary programme or details regarding registration, abstract submission and organisation can be found on the congress website.
As a prelude to the Zoology 2016 Congress, the Zoo of Antwerp Centre for Research and Conservation organises its annual Antwerp ZOO Centre for Research and Conservation Symposium to be held on 15 December 2016 at the Antwerp ZOO Centre for Research and Conservation – The Darwin room.
During this sattelite symposium, the Antwerp ZOO Centre for Research and Conservation will present the results of its research projects in zoo-science and conservation to a general public.
