The meeting will offer lectures on topics related to natural history collections and how to manage them.
There will be discussions about the possibilities of mass digitization and civic research on the natural history collections, and how the collection management at the Museum of Natural History unfolds at various levels, including how the museum will implement regulations regarding ABS regulation and the Nagoya Protocol (Access and Benefit Sharing).
The DiSSCO project (Distributed System of Scientific Collections), an initiative to create a large-scale pan-European research infrastructure for natural history collections, will be presented by a member of the DiSSCo team.
