SPNHC 2019 – Making the Case for Natural History Collections

May 25, 2019

Since the Field Museum last hosted the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) Annual Meeting in 1990, the value and relevance of natural history collections has become considerably clearer.  We recognize that SPNHC has become an influential voice on behalf of the specimens and objects that document the history of life on our planet. Our theme for 2019 will be Making the Case for Natural History Collections.  We hope to encourage a more outward facing concept that engages the public and explains what we do and why it has importance in local and global communities.

We want to invite members, both new and established, to give talks or presentations that highlight what you do and why your collection matters. To register or submit an abstract, please klick on the provided links. Please note that if you are submitting an abstract, you also need to register to attend.

An initial conference schedule can be viewed here.
