The Smithsonian Institute for Biodiversity Genomics (SIBG) and BGI are organizing the first Global Biodiversity Genomics Conference on February 20-23, 2017 in Washington, D.C. at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History and at the JW Marriott Washington DC Hotel.
Edward O. Wilson will be opening the conference with a Plenary Address followed by four featured sessions on Conservation, Ecological, Environmental and Diversity Genomics. A reception in the Rotunda of the National Museum of Natural History will close the day’s session. Subsequent days sessions will occur at JW Marriott Washington DC.
The conference is inviting thought leaders, research and academic scientists and IT professionals to come and share their views on the transition from human to non-human biodiversity genomics and on the interactions and synergies among biodiversity researchers, technologists, software developers and research computing professionals.
