Bringing the CETAF community together
The CETAF General Assembly (CETAF51) will meet on the 11th and 12th May at the Senckenberg Naturmuseum in Frankfurt, Germany.
This meeting will bring together 71 representatives from the 39 members of CETAF, the Consortium of the European Taxonomic Facilities, from 24 countries across Europe and its associated states. CETAF 51 will be the first meeting to be held in person since the start of the pandemic in the spring of 2020.
CETAF51 will be a moment to share experiences, outcomes and the achievements of the ongoing initiatives and projects of CETAF and CETAF member institutions. During the two day event, participants will hear of the progress made by the CETAF, CETAF working groups, CETAF projects and initiatives and will focus on the importance of taxonomy in and across Europe during a participatory session.
“It’s going to be quite motivating as we return to holding a physical meeting after more than two years of seeing each other through our screens” - says Michelle Price, Vice-Chair of CETAF (Acting Chair) - “The programme is packed with news items, news, progress and projects, divided across the four sessions, and there will be a special focus on training for the taxonomists of tomorrow.”
Updates will be posted on Twitter with the hashtag #CETAF51.
