CETAF, Meise Botanic Garden and TalTech are organising the online GEODERA Workshop & Demonstrator, taking place on 28 and 29 October 2026.
The workshop will comprise two linked training sessions offering practical guidance and examples of how Earth Science collection and specimen data can be prepared, standardised and mobilised through GeoCASe, as well as connected to and made discoverable through EOSC Data Terra.
Using Earth Science specimen datasets as case studies, GEODERA is testing workflows that will help connect collection-based data with the wider EOSC research data landscape, improving their visibility, interoperability and reuse.
Workshop programme
Session 1: Standardising and mobilising Earth Science data
28 October 2026 | 13:00–16:00 CET
The first session will provide practical guidance on preparing and standardising Earth Science collection data for mobilisation through GeoCASe.
Session 2: GeoCASe data mobilisation and the GEODERA demonstrator
29 October 2026 | 09:00–13:00 CET
The second session will present a practical demonstration of the GEODERA data mobilisation workflow. It will show how Earth Science collection data can be mobilised through GeoCASe and connected with modern datasets available through Data Terra.
The workshop will take place online and will be hosted by Meise Botanic Garden and TalTech Estonia.
Registration
Participation is free, but registration is mandatory. The deadline to register is 26 October 2026.
