Starting January 2025, CETAF will officially transition to “BlueSky” (@eurotaxonomy.cetaf.org) and leave “X” by March. This decision reflects our commitment to supporting science-based dialogue and upholding our values in positive, constructive spaces.
Recent changes to X—including the promotion of polarizing content and reduced visibility for non-paid posts— made continued use of the platform untenable for CETAF. Along with other institutions, we believe that open, constructive and transparent dialogue requires a discussion platform where such values are upheld. As these principles are no longer present on X, we are moving to Social Media like BlueSky which fosters meaningful engagement.
We remain active on other platforms, such as LinkedIn, and will continue to monitor the evolution of social media platforms and their algorithms closely.
