Public consultation "Science 2.0: Science in transition" launched

The European Commission Public Consultation on “Science 2.0: Science in transition” was launched last week ( The deadline for responding is 30 September 2014.

By referring to “Science 2.0”, the European Commission points at the present evolution of research in view of the expansion of digital networks, the drive towards Open Data, new research evaluation methods, and the contribution of research to present societal challenges.
The Consultation aims to assess the level of adaptation of the different players to this research paradigm shift; investigate the stakeholders’ views on the opportunities and challenges to come, and identify possible policy actions that would take advantage of those opportunities.
