Mycologists from Botanic Garden Meise currently in Rwanda
Mycologists from the Botanic Garden of Meise (Belgium) are currently in Rwanda (from 13th of April to 4th of May) to inventorize eatable mushrooms in moutain forests. They will be exploring several natural parks and forests such as the National Park of Volcanoes, the Forest of Gishwati and the Forest of Nyungwe.
The mission is both a project of fundamental research and of applied research with economical fall-outs for local populations and a direct impact in terms of nature preservation. This is the second mission in Rwanda for these mycologists. They are documenting their field trip in a blog.
