BELGIAN BIODIVERSITY PLATFORM INCLUDES CETAF IN LIST OF KNOWLEDGE & TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER ORGANISATIONS
The Belgian Biodiversity Platform has put together a list on the Biodiversity.be website to help interested people who are looking for so-called Knowledge & Technology Transfer Organisations (KTTOs) in Belgium in the domain of biodiversity research. This was published as part of an effort within the BiodivERsA framework to provide stakeholders with a set of tips and tools to support work in biodiversity research, policy and practice alongside a number of memos and other tools with regard to, for example, organising conferences and guidelines in dealing with the media.
CETAF was included in this list, together with 27 other KTTOs who are active in Belgium and who play a role in acting as an interface between academic and socio-economic stakeholders. According to the description in the document, KTTOs can occur in various organisational and legal structures, but their main goal is that knowledge and technology for economic development and for societal benefits is shared and taken up by those who are in need of it. KTTOs such as CETAF are thus responsible for an effective flow of knowledge.
