CEBios: new name, new website, same mission
A new acronym has been chosen for the cooperation protocol between the Belgian Royal Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS) and the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (BDGD). It will now be called CEBios! The new name comes hand in hand with a new website which CETAF members and stakeholders are encouraged to visit regularly.
The mission of the CEBios programme is to contribute towards a better planet, by strengthening South actors in their endeavour to conserve, use and manage biodiversity in a sustainable way in order to promote sustainable development and poverty eradication. CEBios' vision is that biodiversity conservation in developing countries and poverty eradication are ultimately linked and that both can be achieved through sustainable use and management of ecosystems. CEBios's motto therefore reads: ‘Capacities for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development’
On the CEBios website you will find news related to their activities and/or biodiversity, research and development cooperation in general. CETAF members and stakeholders are encouraged to visit regularly: http://cebios.naturalsciences.be/
